Monday 26th May 2003
After a festive lunch in a restaurant "Na posledním groši" in the Wallachian Open Air Museum, when a president of AIMA Vítězslav Koukal officially welcomed delegats of a presidium session, a programme continued by a tour on two grounds of the Wallachian Museum: the Little Wooden Town and the Mill Valley with an comment in Czech and English. Then there was programme after 17.00 o´clock by a tour to the mountain tourist centre Pustevny (about 20 km from Rožnov pod Radhoštěm). Participants had the opportunity to see the hostel "Maměnka", which was just seeing reconstructed, with a technical deputy of the Wallachian museum Ing. Milan Gesierich. In a restaurant "Libušín" (beside "Maměnka") a Monday programme was finished by a dinner, the AIMA presidium session was opened.
Tuesday 27th May 2003
Participants of the presidium session went for a trip to the Museum in the village of South-East Moravia in Strážnice. The director Dr. Jan Krist welcomed and guided them with his colleagues. After a one-hour tour a lunch was prepared in Strážnice museum. Then the participants arrived to the chatteau in Kroměříž. During their visit the custod Mr. Cyril Měsíc provided an excellent comment about the whole spaces of a chatteau in Czech and English too. At last we cancelled the visit of the Museum of the Kroměříž region because of lack of time. The afternoon programme was finished by a dinner in the chatteau in Kunín near Nový Jičín. During the dinner the AIMA presidium session continued. The chatteau is a new reconstructed seat originally owned by dutchess Maria Walburga von Truchsess-Waldburg-Zeil. Also young František Palacký (1798-1876), a well-known Czech historian attended her filantropic educational institute in chatteau in Kunín . Participants had also opportunity to see some reconstructed rooms in the chatteau with a custod´s comment.
Wednesday 28th May 2003
Since 8.00 o´clock president of AIMA opened the AIMA presidium session in a hall of the Wallachian Open Air Museum.
The president welcomed participants and introduced them with the points of the following session, which should be a topics of discussion:
- Determination of a term of CIMA 14
- Programme content of CIMA 14, schedule of papers and co-papers to the main topic of the congress "The development of agriculture during 20ies century, its documentation and presentation in museums"
- Suggestion to change the edition of AMA journal
- Determination of the place of CIMA 15
Secretary of AIMA Radek Hasalík read a Report about AIMA activities for 2002 in Czech and English. Then a discussion about the topics was opened.
1. Term of CIMA 14 was set as the result of common consence for the week beginning on Monday 20th till Saturday 25th September 2004 in the Wallachian Open Air Museum in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm.
2. Papers of CIMA 14 would be related to the main topic of the congress "The development of agriculture during 20th century, its documentation and presentation in museums". Dr. Nowacki remarked, that the main question is the selection of museum exhibits to document the richness of an agricultural technic during 20th century. Also is important to create an archive of agricultural technics, which should document changes of technologies, it has to be built on a factographical base. Dr. Mackowiak mentioned the usage of virtual museum mostly for the presentation of big machines. Dr. Vontorčík mentioned the fact, that AIMA has to signalize the great changes in agricultural technologies mainly in East Europe in close future. Ing. Koukal remarked, that AIMA must not concentrate only on exhibits, but on a museum work generally. He indicated five main topics for papers during congress:
- a) selection of exhibits
- b) provenience of exhibits
- c) conservation of exhibits
- d) scientific process of exhibits
- e) presentation of exhibits
During the discussion participants made a consence, that all five topics will be prepared altogether by delegats of each continents, co-papers will be related to local specifications.
Patrons for a preparation of individual papers will be follow members of AIMA presidium:
- for Eastern Europe: Vítězslav Koukal
- for Western Europe: Else-Marie Strese
- for Northern America: Edward Hawes with a co-operation by Michelle Dondo-Tardiff
- for Japan: Hisashi Horio will be addressed
President of AIMA asked colleagues to send thesis of papers by September 2003 to be at disposal already at the time of sending of invitations to delegats for CIMA 14. Thesis will be published on web pages of AIMA under pages of the Wallachian Open Air Museum.
3. An offer by president of AIMA Vítězslav Koukal to edit an AMA journal on CD was accepted by AIMA presidium after a discussion with Prof. Hawes.
4. Secretary of AIMA Radek Hasalík read in Slovak and English a letter by Dr. Ján Kišgeci, director of Agricultural museum in Kulpino near Novi Sad in Serbia. Dr. Kišgeci requests to organize CIMA 15 in 2007. Dr. Kišgeci wrote, that he could not participate in this AIMA presidium session because of lack of time related to visa problems. However he had a discussion about the offer to organize CIMA 15 with the members of ministeries in Serbia and Crna Gora and they are prepared to support it. Dr. Zdravka Michailova from a museum in Bulgarian Sofia (argument for 2007 anniversary of 10 years from foundation of National agricultural museum) and Dr. György Fehér from museum in Hungarian Budapest (argument for 2007 anniversary 100 years from foundation of Hungarian agricultural museum) were also registered as applicants. President of AIMA wanted to let the members of AIMA presidium vote about the setting of place for CIMA 15, but according to the offer by Ing. Švikruha, which was supported by other members of AIMA presidium, a decision was postponed for the time shortly before CIMA 14.
Then president of AIMA Vítězslav Koukal finished the AIMA presidium session and invited members on an audience in town hall in Rožnov pod Radhoštěm by vicemayor Mgr. Libuše Rousová with participation of Mgr. Tomáš Gross from department of mayor office. During the audience a reporter of regional TV Beskyd made a reportage.
A festive lunch for participants of AIMA presidium session was prepared in restaurant "Na posledním groši" in the Wallachian Open Air Museum. During the lunch president of AIMA Vítězslav Koukal officially finished the AIMA presidium session and farewelled participants.
